Patrick Rey

    Patrick Rey is Professor of Economics at the Toulouse School of Economics. His main research interests focuses on industrial organization, competition law and policy, regulation, economics of organizations and of the firm, contract theory and economics of information. Since 2012, Patrick is President of the European Association for Research in Industrial Economics (EARIE), Senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France. He works as consultant for the World Bank (on Competition policy and economic development) and the OECD (Report on Franchising). He is member of the advisory committees for the French regulator for Telecoms and Postal Services, ARCEP, and the French Competition Authority. Previously, he has been Director of IDEI, fellow of Editorial Board of The Journal of Public Economics, Director of the Laboratory of Industrial Organization, CREST-INSEE, Paris, fellow of Editorial Board of The Review of Economic Studies. He obtained a degree in Engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Toulouse.
